The city of Bassano del Grappa hosts the Gonzato Collection that is presented to the public for the first time.

The about 90 pieces selected are mainly small bronzes from the the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries, but there are also some remarkable paintings and prints of the seventeenth and the eighteenth centuries.

The leading theme is the world of the blacksmith. As a matter of fact, all works of art represent the blacksmith seen through the eyes of various artists that seize different aspects of such character and relate them to their time.

Such collection is unique in the world, since it is thematic and crosses different period of times, styles and nationalities of the artists.
